EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS
If you are in a situation where you must activate 911 EMS, you are required to immediately report it to the office and your regional director.  If no one picks up the phone at the office leave a message in your regional directors mailbox and press #8.  It is critical that your regional director and the office are aware of emergency situations.

Summer is quickly approaching!  Please make sure that you have all of your paperwork turned in.  You won’t be able to start working until your file is complete.  You will be getting a phone call with in the next month if you do not have complete files. 

 

Be sure to order your uniforms in PLENTY of time for the first day of work.  HINT HINT… we OPEN May 29th, 2010.

 

Make sure to sign up for Lifeguard and CPR classes to get certified.  You will be able to find the dates under the training tab.

 

General Staff Meetings are coming up in May.

 

Kentucky – May 1, 2010 at 9:00 am at the Florence Government Center in Florence.

Ohio – May 8, 2010 at 9:00 am at the Cincinnati Pool Management Office in West Chester.

 

 

At this time we are fully staffed.  People are being placed on waiting lists for pools.  We are hiring for pool techs in the Cincinnati area.  If you have any friends or family members that may be interested in the position, have them give us a call at 513-777-1444 Ext 4.  They must be 18, able to drive, and the starting rate is $8.00/ hour.


Pool of the Month

Starting June CPM recognizes a pool of the month. To be in the running for pool of the month, you must have your pool looking fabulous, excellent health inspections, no problems with schedules or staffing issues, passing safety audits, and all working together as team players. Pools will be selected by regional directors in recognition of their performance and hard work.  The guards at those pools will receive a CPM Beach Towel.  GOOD LUCK!


Employee of the Month

To be eligible for the lifeguard of the month you must have a perfect attendance record and an outstanding recommendation from your manager and Regional Manager.  We will have Lifeguard of the month for June, July and August.  The lifeguard of the month will receive a Gilligan hat presented by the Regional Manager.

DON"T FORGET THE "5 MINUTE SCANNING STRATEGY"

The 5-minute Stratgey: sit, stand, stroll (your area of coverage) is still in effect. This is a CPM Policy. Supervisors will be looking for this as they visit pools throughout the summer.

To review: Sit in the stand with the tube in lap for 5 minutes, Stand next to stand with tube in hand for 5 minutes, then stroll you area of coverage WITH TUBE for 5 minutes. Then repeat the process. Changing your posture helps with your alertness. Changing your scanning pattern alleviates boredom. These are ESSENTIAL to a successful season!
